  • Deborah Yarrow , DVM


    Dr. Yarrow graduated from Purdue School of Veterinary Medicine in 1982 and received her BA from St Michael's College in 1978. She practiced in VT and MA before heading home to be close to her parents. In 1992 she began Ct Veterinary Housecall Practice while she looked for a location for her own hospital. In 1996 she located a building in Branford and began remodelling. In 1997, she opened the doors to Mill Pond Veterinary Hospital. 

    After 12 years the hospital outgrew the space and in 2009 she relocated the hospital across the street into a newly remodelled space. Dr. Yarrow enjoys horseback riding, hiking, kayaking and her Harley. She lives in Guilford with her husband, her Quarter Horse, two dog, two cats and a parakeet.

  • Kevin Wray , VMD


    Dr. Kevin Wray graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biology in 2004 from Bucknell University and then went on to earn his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania in 2008. 

    Dr. Wray is originally from Pennsylvania, but moved to Connecticut after graduating from veterinary school. He enjoys hiking and mountain biking in his spare time and shares a house with his dog, Addie, and two cats, Taz and Blase.

  • Brian Vitelli , DVM, MS


    Dr. Vitelli received his Bachelor’s degree in animal science from the Purdue University School of Agriculture in 1977 and received his doctorate in veterinary medicine from the Purdue Veterinary School in 1982. He holds Master’s degrees in biology, entomology and public health. Dr. Vitelli has a Connecticut teaching certificate, a certificate in forensic entomology and is certified in veterinary acupuncture.

    Prior to practicing here, Dr. Vitelli built, owned and sold Fox on Veterinary Hospital, taught science at the Morgan School and Gateway Community College, served as a relief Public Health Supervisory Veterinary Medical Officer for the Food Safety Inspection Service of the USDA and worked as a health inspector. Dr. Vitelli is originally from the New Haven area and currently lives in Guilford with his family. His pets include several pythons, two tortoises, Charlie the Wonderdog and two cats: Meema and Stinky Cat. Dr. Vitelli is performing acupuncture at Mill Pond Veterinary Hospital.

    He has extensive experience in the care and treatment of companion animals including exotic animals such as birds and reptiles. Dr. Vitelli enjoys reading, nature study, traveling and time with his family.

Technician Staff

  • Donald


    Don has been a veterinary technician for 27 years. He is the senior technician and is responsible for client relations. Don has been part of Mill Pond Veterinary Hospital since the hospital opened 12 years ago. He is involved in all aspects of the hospital and pet care in the hospital. Don lives in Guilford with his wife and Sally the donkey.Don's hobbies includes pedal steel guitar,John Deere tractors and Harleys. Vetsuite_Img_90614

    Victoria is newest to our technician staff. She worked previously at a large veterinary hospital and wanted to work more closely with the clients in a more personal hospital.We are pleased she joined our staff. She has a great attitude and abilities. we look forward to her learning and excelling.

    Nancy works at our front desk answering phones, making appointments, taking food orders and greeting clients and patients. She joined us in August 2009 and previously worked at the hospital of St. Raphael. She has one wonderful tiger cat named Tobay whom she adopted through our hospital in January.     Amy joined the Mill Pond Veterinary Hospital team in December of 2009. She started working as a technician but is now primarily at the front desk where she enjoys greeting clients. Before Mill Pond, Amy had 3 1/2 years experience at a 24-hour emergency veterinary hospital in New Haven as well as a few small veterinary clinics in the Branford area. Amy lives in Hamden with 7 cats, a Boston Terrier and a ball python.

    Eve is our practice manager.She is responsible for the smooth daily operation of the hospital and its paperwork, computers, staff, website,etc.,etc.,etc. Basically,Eve is responsible for everything! She will even jump in and assist a doctor or make your pet cozy. You will see her at the front desk, you will hear her on the phone and she will hug you when you are having a hard day. eve lives in Branford with her husband, daughter, two dogs and one cat.
